Take Time To Celebrate

Friends and family gather in joyful celebration, reminding us of the beauty of cherishing special moments together.

Many of us will attend New Year's celebrations to welcome the hopes of 2025 and reflect on the journey of 2024. For some, there’s a deep sense of relief that the challenges of the past year are behind us, while others look forward with hope for positive change. Whether we’re celebrating with lively gatherings, church services, or a quiet evening at home watching family movies, we must make time to celebrate in a way that brings joy and gratitude. Most importantly, let us remember to thank our Heavenly Father for guiding us through another year. As 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (KJV) reminds us, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus."

As we step into the New Year, let’s do so with hearts full of gratitude and anticipation. God has brought us this far, and His promises for the future are steadfast. Jeremiah 29:11 (KJV) declares, "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Embrace 2025 with a sense of expectation, knowing that as God’s beloved children, we have access to His abundant blessings and the benefits of His covenant love.

Entering this new season, let us also grow in our determination to seek our Heavenly Father more fervently. Hebrews 11:6 (KJV) reminds us, "And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who earnestly seek Him." When we draw near to Him, He promises to draw near to us (James 4:8 KJV). This is the heart of the New Year: a renewed commitment to deepen our relationship with the One who loves us unconditionally and provides for all our needs.

As we celebrate and reflect, take time to thank God for His faithfulness, to anticipate His continued work in our lives, and to resolve to know Him more deeply. May our celebration—however we choose to mark the occasion—be filled with joy, hope, and a sense of God’s nearness as we embark on the blessings of 2025.

Have a happy and blessed New Year!
