Powerful Intimacy with God through Jesus Christ

In our finite human minds, it may seem astonishing that our all-powerful Creator desires an intimate relationship with each of us. He could compel us into such a relationship, but He has established a principle that requires us to choose Him willingly. This gift of free will means we must actively decide to follow Him.

Moreover, God has granted us authority over the rulers of darkness. However, if we remain unaware of our position in Christ, we may perceive ourselves as powerless. This self-imposed ignorance allows deception to take root, leading to afflictions such as disease, poverty, and broken relationships. Instead of embracing our calling as overcomers united with Christ, we may inadvertently expose ourselves to negative influences.

A mind ignited with divine revelation bursts with color and creativity, illustrating the transformative power of intimacy with God through Jesus Christ, where His wisdom and presence bring clarity, inspiration, and purpose to our lives.

The first commandment instructs, "You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exodus 20:3 KJV). This directive emphasizes God's desire for our undivided devotion. The entire narrative of Scripture reflects His longing for us to remain passionate about Him, regardless of the challenges we face. To cultivate this unwavering love, we must immerse ourselves in the Bible until its truths become an integral part of our being, enabling us to stand firm even amidst life's storms. Our love for God should be steadfast, enduring even unto death.

Jesus encapsulated this devotion when He declared, "‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment" (Matthew 22:37-38 KJV). This command underscores the importance of prioritizing our relationship with God above all else.

Furthermore, the Apostle John reminds us, "We love because He first loved us" (1 John 4:19 KJV). This profound truth highlights that our capacity to love God is a response to the immense love He has already shown us.

Let us, therefore, commit to spending time daily with our Heavenly Father, seeking His will and striving to fulfill it. In doing so, we honor His profound desire for a deep and abiding relationship with us. Remember He has given us a pet name only known to the two of us -God and person (Revelation 2:17 KJV).
