Because of Jesus, “Daddy God” no longer sees us through the lens of our sin and failures. Instead, He sees us as “holy in His eyes with unstained innocence” (Ephesians 1:4, TPT). Every godly promise that God has made to His children belongs to us! As 2 Corinthians 1:20 (NIV) reminds us: "For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ. And so through Him, the ‘Amen’ is spoken by us to the glory of God.”
The first step in walking in these blessings is to learn what they are by immersing ourselves in God’s Word. As Hosea 4:6 (KJV) warns, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” We must equip ourselves with the knowledge of God’s promises so we can receive them by faith and hold onto them firmly.
Why? Because we are in a daily battle against an enemy who seeks to steal these blessings. Jesus cautions us in John 10:10 (KJV), “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” The devil uses deception, doubt, and discouragement to make us give up, fall into unbelief, or act contrary to God’s will.
But here’s the good news: God has given us everything we need to stand firm and claim victory! Ephesians 6:10-11 (KJV) encourages us: "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.”
When we stand on God’s promises, meditate on His Word, and stay rooted in prayer, we are equipped to hold onto the blessings that have already been lavished upon us. The battle may rage, but victory is already ours through Christ. As Romans 8:37 (KJV) declares: "In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”
So, let’s boldly claim the extraordinary gifts that God has lavished on us. Let us believe His promises, hold them close to our hearts, and resist every attempt of the enemy to steal them. With Christ, we are victorious, holy, and blessed beyond measure!
