God Sees Us as Righteous Through Christ. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him" (2 Corinthians 5:21, NKJV). "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1, NKJV). This means that when God looks at us, He does not see our past or failures—He sees us covered in the righteousness of Jesus.
The Lord Fights Our Battles. "The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace" (Exodus 14:14, NKJV). "Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s" (2 Chronicles 20:15, NKJV). "No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn" (Isaiah 54:17, NKJV). These verses remind us that when we are in battle, God is the one fighting for us, not us in our own strength.
The Devil Recognizes Jesus in Us. "You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4, NKJV). "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me" (Galatians 2:20, NKJV). Because Christ lives in us, when we engage in spiritual warfare, the enemy sees Jesus fighting through us.
Jesus is Our Advocate and Defender. "For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin" (Hebrews 4:15, NKJV). "What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31, NKJV). Jesus stands on our behalf, and when we face opposition, He is the one interceding for us.
When we are in a battle, the devil does not just see us—he sees Jesus, the undefeated King, fighting for us. The blood of Christ marks us as victorious, and God’s power works through us. Our strength is not in ourselves, but in Jesus, who has already won the battle!
