discouragements and countless job interviews, God remained faithful. In His perfect timing, the Lord opened the door for a promotion in leadership, an increase in salary, and a work environment where she is now respected and valued. She loves tackling challenges under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and witnessing supernatural results. Her future remains victorious because she has chosen to trust in God’s plan (Jeremiah 29:11, NIV: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future.”).
I had also been praying for my younger daughter, who was thriving in her job until COVID-19 disrupted everything. Her company struggled with supply chain delays, and as a result, she was laid off. For four years, she worked various jobs—from cleaning houses to construction—yet, at times, people refused to pay her even after she had completed the work.
At one point, she worked for a roofing company selling 50-year guaranteed roofs. One day, she met an elderly gentleman who wanted to prepare his home as an inheritance for his children. He had purchased a roof several years prior and installed it himself, being a contractor. When my daughter investigated the situation, she discovered there was a manufacturer defect, meaning the man’s roof should have been replaced under warranty. He was willing to cover the labor cost, but when my daughter approached her boss about a discount, he refused and insisted the man needed to buy a brand-new roof.
Her boss’s words stung: "Aren’t you a sales representative? That’s what we do." But my daughter’s integrity would not allow her to take advantage of the elderly customer. She stood firm in righteousness (Proverbs 10:9, NIV: “Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.”) and chose to resign instead.
Soon after, in an unexpected turn of events, the very job she had loved before the pandemic rehired her—a complete miracle and a testimony of God's faithfulness!
Both of my daughters chose to work as unto the Lord, and in due season, they were rewarded. Their obedience and perseverance brought them through difficult seasons, and God’s faithfulness ensured they received what He had promised.
When we are trusting our Heavenly Father to meet our needs and desires, we must remain patient and expectant, knowing that He is faithful. His Word assures us:
Galatians 6:9 (KJV): “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
Hold on, keep believing, and stay faithful—your due season is coming!
