To deepen this understanding, we must explore the profound meaning of the term Elohim, often translated as "gods." Psalm 82:6 (ESV) says, “I said, ‘You are gods; you are all sons of the Most High.’” The elders of the church who were involved in the canonization of the Bible chose the term “angels” when translating Elohim, believing it was blasphemy to consider humans as “little gods.” However, the interpretation of Elohim also includes gods, deities, rulers, judges, divine ones, or angels. If we are His children, which term is more applicable? Think about it.
More Biblical proof to consider:
“Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!” (1 Corinthians 6:3, NIV).
“For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters” (Romans 8:29, NIV).
May we open our hearts and minds to the richness of God’s eternal plans and our place in His family. Let us take our rightful royal positions and provide leadership in every sphere of influence on earth. We are to be the ones ruling and reigning through the Holy Spirit’s guidance. I pray that we stop evil from occupying key positions intended for God’s children. Let us all fulfill the plans He has ordained for us to accomplish.
Prayer:
Holy Spirit, help us to understand who we truly are as children of God. Reteach us what authority we have through Jesus in order to fulfill Daddy God’s purpose on earth as it is in Heaven. Help us to shed the cares of this life and stay on track to many victories. We thank You for allowing us to be born again into Your family through Jesus’ loving sacrifice. Help us to Please you in the thoughts we think, the words we speak, and the actions we take.
In Jesus Name we ask these things.
