Spending Time with Daddy God

This image of a joyful family spending time together reflects the warmth, connection, and peace found when we rest in love, togetherness, and presence.

The more time we spend with someone—engaging in meaningful conversations and truly listening to understand them—the stronger our relationship becomes. When we learn what pleases or displeases each other, it naturally shapes our words and actions, building deeper trust and connection.

We need to analyze where we spend most of our time, as it reveals what is truly important to us. Many of us dedicate most of our time to working a job, preparing to get to that job, and getting enough rest to be alert and efficient for that job. Why? Because we’ve been taught that the more we work and earn, the better quality of life we can enjoy. This mindset follows the popular phrase, “Work Hard, Play Hard.” So, we work tirelessly.

Unfortunately, this leaves little to no time for quality moments with our Heavenly Father—time to get to know Him and what pleases Him.

We often hear pastors preach from their pulpits Philippians 4:19 (KJV): “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Yet, many of us request extra hours at work to supplement our income, as though our provision depends solely on our efforts. There is a clear correlation between the time we spend seeking God, the time consumed by life’s demands, and the victories and supernatural provision we experience.

Let’s encourage one another to spend our precious time seeking the Lord. This pleases Him, and He rewards us accordingly. As Hebrews 11:6 (CEB) reminds us: “It’s impossible to please God without faith because the one who draws near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards people who try to find Him.”

We can make small adjustments to our daily routines and dedicate a few minutes each day to fellowship with Daddy God in Jesus’ name, with the Holy Spirit’s guidance. Before long, we will begin to enjoy the peace and joy that come from this holy fellowship. Miracles and victories will start to manifest in our lives.

Think of it as an experiment—like a scientist testing a hypothesis. Try it and see for yourself. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by the results! Acts 17:11 (NIV) says, “Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.”

God’s Scriptures are absolute truth. They provide guidance on what works and what doesn’t. Try giving Him more of your time—simply talking to Him about your daily activities—and you’ll begin to experience victorious changes in your life.
