God's Desire for Us to Have Eternal Life
God’s Great Love for Us
God’s heart is for every single person to have eternal life in His glorious presence. He created us to live in fellowship with Him—a life of peace, joy, and love in a paradise where there is no more pain, sorrow, or death. The Bible makes it clear that this incredible gift is not something we can earn; it is freely given because of His great love for us.
Jesus said, “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16, NIV). God doesn’t want anyone to miss out on this gift. He patiently waits for everyone to turn to Him, longing for us to accept His provision of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
What Keeps Us from Heaven?
The only thing that separates us from God is sin—the rejection of Christ’s gift of salvation. Romans 3:23 (NLT) tells us, “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” But God, in His mercy, didn’t leave us in this state. He sent His Son, Jesus, to pay the price for our sins, making the way for us to be reconciled to Him. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6, NIV).
Accepting Jesus is not about religious rituals or perfect behavior. It’s about opening your heart to God’s love and saying, “Yes, Lord, I believe.” When we choose Jesus, we choose life—eternal life with God in paradise, free from sin, death, and separation.

Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your incredible love and Your desire for me to have eternal life with You. Thank You for sending Jesus to make the way for me to be reconciled to You. I believe that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and I accept His gift of salvation. Forgive me for my sins and cleanse me from anything that separates me from You.
Lord, help me to walk daily in the assurance of Your love and salvation. Use me to share this good news with others so they too can experience the joy of eternal life in Your presence. I long to live in fellowship with You, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit forever. Thank You for preparing a place for me in Your paradise. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
